Granny Quilt

I think summer is here.
It's going to be 100 degrees today, so I ran outside this morning to snap a few pictures before it got too hot.  The granny square quilt is done, finished off with a bright yellow binding.
I made it wall hanging size, about 40.5 x 40.5 inches.  The pattern is from Blue Elephant Stitches.
I pieced the back with the leftover fabric.
The oak tree was kind enough to assist me with the photo shoot.
So pieceful.

  1. Your first sentence was designed to make us British feel bad wasn't it? You have to get outside before it gets too hot and we're indoors in JUNE with blankets round our legs, wearing thick cardigans...that's plain wicked!
Lovely quilt, the colours are very pretty indeed. Will you be crocheting the matching blanket. I think you started some squares in the same colours.
Quick, get your quilt inside before the sun fades it!
